BALLYNURE Girls’ Brigade has been holding a number of exciting and entertaining events to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

And more celebrations are planned at a special Carvery and Gala Evening in the Tullyglass House Hotel on Saturday, March 10, for parents, friends and past members of the group.

Also on Saturday, the company’s Explorer’s team will go head-to-head with groups from across the country in the Northern Ireland Finals of the Explorer Team Games Competition in Wellington Presbyterian Church, Ballymena.

This comes on the back of the company’s appearance at the Northern Ireland Volleyball Competition at the University of Ulster.

For the past six months the group has been marking the anniversary in various ways.

GB leader Marbeth Coulter said: “Over the past 50 years our leaders and helpers, past and present, have made sure that we have been a relevant, dynamic, Christ-centered company reaching out to each member to value, nurture and equip her for life - and we will continue to carry on that fine tradition.”

Saturday’s gala evening in the Tullyglass House Hotel in Ballymena starts at 6.45pm and tickets are priced £25. To purchase a ticket call Gillian on Tel: 028 9334 1831 or email: gilly@hanna-biz.co.uk
