Ballyclare business owner thanks voters who helped her secure awards success

The owner of Joli Clothing has thanked everyone who voted for her in the run up to the recent Ballyclare Business Awards.

Lorraine McConnell was chosen as Tradesperson of the Year and Joli won Retailer of the Year in the online vote.

The local woman, who has raised more than £150,000 for local schools, churches, clubs and charities since opening her shop in October 2007, was delighted with the double awards success.

She thanked all those who supported her in the online vote, adding: “I am delighted to receive these awards as they prove that if you help enough people get what they want then the rewards come back to you. Long may it continue.”

David Reade, President of Ballyclare Chamber of Trade, commented: “Not only is Joli Clothing a great place to shop, it is an outstanding contributor to life in Ballyclare that sets a lead for other retailers to follow.”
