Glengormley Cadet Staff Sergeant, Corey Gorman has been praised for the commitment and enthusiasm he has brought to the Cadet movement and for earning the BTEC Diploma in Public Services.

During a special ceremony held at Magilligan Training Camp recently, Corey was presented with his award by Mrs Joan Christie, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for County Antrim.

“The BTEC Diploma in Public Services is a widely recognised and respected qualification and a valuable addition to the CV which I have no doubt Corey will be compiling in preparation for the move on to college or into the world of work.

“We already know that many employers recognise that a good track record in the Cadet movement is evidence of a well-rounded, focused and self-disciplined young person,” Mrs Christie said.
