Police have issued an appeal for information after a car crashed into the grounds of Rathcoole Presbyterian Church.

At around 9.10pm on Tuesday (November 19), a blue Peugeot car carrying four males mounted a grass verge at Rathmore Drive and crashed into the railings of the church. The four males got out of the vehicle and ran off.

Damage was caused to the railings and it is believed that the Peugeot may also have been involved in collisions with two other cars prior to the crash at the church.

A PSNI spokesperson said that enquiries into the incident are continuing and urged anyone with information to contact officers at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000.

Information can also be passed on anonymously via Crimestoppers - 0800 555 111.
