A SPECIAL festive film made by members of staff at Newtownabbey-based Chain Reaction Cycles has proved an internet hit.

Workers at the world’s largest online bike store took time out of their busy schedule despatching over 9,000 orders a day worldwide in the run up to Christmas to release an entertaining video to spread some seasonal cheer.

Featuring staff from their retail store and commercial HQ in Belfast, as well as their main base in Doagh, the parody video features the 1985 Shakin Stevens hit ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’.

The video, which can be viewed online at www.youtube.com, has attracted more than 28,000 hits since it was released the week before Christmas.

Simon Cordner, the company’s PR Manager commented: “We’d been toying with the idea of making a video for a few weeks and decided that we’d do a Christmas song. Everyone had such a laugh over the two days of filming and we’re really happy with how it’s gone down.”
