THE Greater Glengormley Community Churches Forum, supported by the clergy of the major Christian Churches in the area, is inviting families to join them in the centre of Glengormley at the Christmas tree at 6.15pm on Friday, December 9.

At 6.30pm all those gathered will walk in a candlelight procession (glow sticks provided) to Lilian Bland Community Park in Glengormley to a marquee where carols will be led by local schools and church choirs, praise and folk groups and Glengormley traditional music group.

Refreshments and mince pies will be provided, and everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.

What a great way to celebrate a traditional Christmas.

For more information about Carols in the Park, which is being supported by Newtownabbey Borough Council, Thunderdome Cafe and local businesses, contact Brian Mullan on 9087 9793 or Paul Caddell on 07794 791409.

The Greater Glengormley Community Churches Forum was set up earlier this year by members of several local churches with the aim of building bridges for a more inclusive, cohesive and peaceful community in the Glengormley area.
