THE Clare Chorale Choir is preparing to deliver a musical programme of immense variety on Saturday, March 24, at their home base of Ballyclare High School on the Rashee Road.

Under the leadership of Choir Director Sheelagh Greer from Ballynure and with accompanist Darren Baird, the 40-strong mixed choir will provide a rich mixture of secular and sacred music, drawing on a range of scores from the shows, folk, traditional, spiritual, with plans to finish with the ‘Anthem’ from the hit musical Chess.

BBC Arts Extra presenter Marie-Louise Muir will compere the sell-out Annual Concert which starts at 7.30pm, while Special Guests - City of Belfast Youth Concert Band - will provide their own unique sound under the accomplished leadership of Colin Irvine.

“This is our 9th annual concert, and I believe it has the best mix of music with a few surprises up our sleeves!” said Sheelagh Greer who enjoys a prolific singing career as a soloist.

Choir Secretary Kay Johnston from Glengormley was equally buoyant, expressing her appreciation to Asda “for sponsorship for the Big Night in the High School.”
