More than 20 New Mossley residents got together on Friday, February 7 to lend a hand with a major clean-up within the estate.
The event, organised by the local community group, in conjunction with Newtownabbey Borough Council and the Housing Executive, saw local people working hard to clean up streets and alleyways in the area.
“There were two lorry loads of rubbish taken away,” explained Jack Shaw, chairman of New Mossley Community Group. “A good crowd turned out to help and the place is looking really, really well.”
Mr Shaw expressed his thanks to everyone who turned out to help on the day, and Robert Elliott, Newtownabbey Council’s cleansing supervisor, for his help with organising the clean-up.
