CLINTON Cards in the Abbeycentre has been saved from closure.
The future of the local greetings card retailer had been threatened after the chain went into administration last month with substantial debts.
It was feared all branches would be closed. However, a deal brokered by the administrators Zolfo Cooper and Lakeshore Lending - a subsidiary of American Greetings - has seen a number of branches saved.
Administrator Peter Saville said: “We have always been of the view that despite intensely competitive retail environment there was a strong underlying business contained with Clinton Cards.”
