AS PART of the packed programme of events at this year’s Ballyclare May Fair, Templepatrick Cricket Club will be holding an Under 11 Cricket Blitz and Family Fun Day.
The free event, which is being supported by Newtownabbey Borough Council, will take place at The Cloughan, Doagh Road on Sunday, May 27 between 12.30pm and 4.30pm.
There will be a series of Kwik Cricket games involving P1 to P7 children, including boys and girls from Templepatrick, CIYMS, Instonians and Lurgan, as well as a 20-over ‘old boys’ match. There will also be bouncy castles, face painting, a barbecue and other activities - something to keep everyone entertained.
The club’s Cricket Development Officer, Andy McCrea, urged people to come along and support the event.
“We’re a club that’s committed to being at the heart of the local community and we want as many people as possible to come along to The Cloughan on May 27 to see what Templepatrick Cricket Club’s all about.
“We have some of the best playing and practice facilities anywhere in Ireland and we have a team of dedicated coaches that are committed to offering the best possible coaching to children and young people of all ages and abilities.
“We want people to come along to the Family Fun Day, whether they’re cricket enthusiasts or not, and see what we have to offer. Hopefully the sun will shine and we’ll have a great day.”
