North West Care, the domiciliary care division of the North West Independent Hospital Group, is to expand its operations into Co Antrim with the establishment of a new ‘Care Hub’ in Newtownabbey.

The company, which already provides home based personal care and practical support services to 600 clients in the North West of the province, is to recruit an additional 100 new staff over the next year. And it’s understood that the posts will be based at the company’s offices at Edenmore in Jordanstown.

Mrs Liz Dallas, Chief Executive of North West Care, said that the decision to expand had been taken in response to the growing need for high quality, home based care and support services across Northern Ireland.

“With over 17 years experience of providing personal and practical care to NHS and private clients, we feel confident that our quality led approach and comprehensive range of client services will make a very important contribution to meeting the growing demand for home based support in Belfast and Co Antrim,” she commented.

It’s understood the majority of the 100 new jobs to be created will be for Domiciliary Care Workers to deliver care.
