Driver sought after collision

Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Glengormley.

The Times understands the incident took place at approximately 4:45pm on Monday, March 20, but details were only made public by the police today.

The collision occurred close to St Mary’s Church on the Carnmoney Road.

Detailing the episode, a police spokesperson said: “A black Renault Scenic was hit from behind by another car. This car was believed to be an old silver/gold Vauxhall. The male driver stated he was on his way to a local garage for his MOT.

“If you are the driver of the other vehicle, or know details of the driver, or other vehicle, please contact police in Newtownabbey quoting reference 987 20/03/17.”
