Police are appealing for information after a number of burglaries took place in Ballyclare and Glengormley overnight.
Commenting on the incidents, a police spokesperson said: “There have been a lot of incidents of burglary throughout the Glengormley and Ballyclare areas overnight.
“For investigative reasons at this stage I can only say it was commercial premises around The Square in Ballyclare and one in Church Road, Glengormley.”
The Times understands that one of the properties targeted was a shop in the Granges Street area of Ballyclare.
It was reported that sometime during the night, entry had been forced to the premises and a sum of money stolen.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact officers in Newtownabbey on 101, quoting reference 211 of 24/03/17.
