Police are appealing for information following a theft from a commercial premises in Ballynure.
The Times understands that the incident took place sometime between 3am and 3:35am on Friday, March 31, but details have only been made public by the police today.
It is understood entry was gained to a commercial premises on the Larne Road in Ballynure and a quantity of cigarettes and tobacco was stolen.
Appealing for information, Detective Sergeant Colin Robinson said: “We are appealing to anyone that may have any information or to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time, or to anyone that may have been offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact detectives in Antrim on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 116 of the 31/03/17.
“Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
