Vandals targeting local building sites

Commenting on the issue, a PSNI spokesperson said: “There was suspicious behaviour around building sites in the Ballyclare area. An incident of note occurred on the Hillhead Road on December 1. Over the past few weeks I have noticed that these reports are increasing. A number of building sites have recently been broken into. As a result, I would appeal to builders and tradespersons to review site security measures and to ensure that building sites are adequately secured before leaving. It is common for thieves to target building sites and newly built homes. If you notice any suspicious behaviour in and around a building site, especially during the hours of darkness, notify us immediately.”
