A SERVING of Channel 4’s hugely popular ‘Come Dine With Me’ television show was dished up from Belfast recently.

Amongst the competitors for the £1,000 prize money was Fiona Rush from Finaghy, whose day job is a Navigation Officer in the Merchant Navy.

Fiona invited the Competitive Highland Dancers from the Gillian Jones Dance Academy who are based at Newtownabbey’s Ballyearl Arts and Leisure Centre to perform a ‘Sailors Hornpipe’ as the entertainment for her guests on the final night of a week of dining. The dancers featured in the programme that aired on Friday, February 24. The talented dancers can be seen again later this year performing in Dance Extravaganza at Newtownabbey’s Theatre at the Mill.
