NEW Mossley Presbyterian Church is hosting a five week course designed to help people share their faith in a more effective manner.

The course entitled ‘Directions’ began on Wednesday, February 2 from 7.45pm to 9.45pm and is part of the Crown Jesius Ministries Programme which is working in partnership with 14 churches across the greater Newtownabbey area.

The purpose of the partnership is to support an exciting programme of evengelism that could reach many across the borough with the good news of Jesus.

Commenting on the Directions course, Rev. Nigel Baylor of St. Patrick’s Church in Jordanstown: “We can all feel very nervous and uncertain about sharing our faith with others and feel we simply cannot do it for all sorts of reasons.

“This course is designed to give people confidence to share their faith with others in an appropriate and sensitive manner.

“We have already contacted a lot of people in order to encourage them to avail of this course. Please get in touch with any of the clergy team on 029 9086 2119 or 9086 9832 if this interests you. In each of these courses we are striving to equip the saints - that is, you - to share your faith in a more effective way.”

Meanwhile, St Patrick’s in Jordanstown is to hold an Adult Confirmation on Sunday, May 22, and a preparation group towards this will begin on Monday, February 14, at 7.30pm in the church office in Jordanstown.

The church will also be holding a Healing Service on Sunday, February 13, at 6.30pm.

“We will in fact, be holding a Healing Service once a month from March onwards,” said Rev. Baylor.

“We always find the attendance at evening service is significantly increased when this ministry is available and we want to make it more accessible to a greater number of people.”
