DOAGH residents have been urged to attend the upcoming AGM being held by the village’s community association.
The Doagh Village Community Association (DVCA) AGM is on Wednesday, September 14.
And Association Secretary Bob Adams has issued an appeal to residents in the village to attend the meeting in the community hall.
He said: “Working as one community and one voice has proved in the past that we can achieve results.
“There is a lot happening in the village and it is important everyone in Doagh is able to have their say - we want to be a community in every sense of the word.
“There are a lot of issues, like traffic and parking problems, that we can look to address, but we would like as many people as possible to support the Community Association and play a part in the village’s future.”
Recently, the Doagh Masterplan was launched which aims to promote comprehensive development and sustainability for the village’s long term future.
Bob is also Chair of the Masterplan’s Implementation Group, and he added: “We want the residents in Doagh to play their part in the development of the village.
“It is also a good opportunity for people to get to know each other and work towards a common goal. It’s an important time for the village and we hope as many people as possible can make it along to the AGM.”
The AGM takes place in the Community Hall, The Entry, Doagh on Wednesday, September 14 from 7pm.
It is hoped that representatives from local organisations as well as an individuals interested in the work of the DVCA will plan to attend.
