PREPARATIONS are underway for the 33rd annual Belfast Castle hospice walk.

It will take place on Saturday April 20, starting at 10.00 am.

The three-mile route is suitable for all ages and fitness levels and attracts hundreds of local families and dog walkers. This year, local celebrities will be amongst those walking to raise money for Northern Ireland Hospice.

Olivia Nash, Northern Ireland Hospice vice president, said: “Come on everyone. Lace up your walking shoes and put feet first for Hospice. Get your friends and family involved and really make a difference to local adults, children and young people. There will be a few famous faces joining in too so there’s no excuse not to come down, walk with us and have some craic.”

Last year, due to the support of North Belfast residents, the Belfast Castle Hospice Walk raised £8,910.

This sum has helped provide care for local adults, children and young people living across Northern Ireland with life-limiting illnesses.

This year’s event will be sponsored by Creightons of Finaghy and Kilwaughter Chemical Company Ltd, Larne.

For more information on the walks taking place across Northern Ireland or to register, please visit nihospice.org or call 028 9077 7123.
