Flute band thanks supporters

Ballyclare Protestant Boys Flute Band wish to thank their supporters following a successful fundraising event.

Over £2,500 was raised at the concert in Ballyclare Town Hall on Saturday, March 25. All of the monies raised will go towards a new uniform for the band.

The event ran from 7pm until midnight. A number of visiting bands participated in the event. They were Steeple Defenders, Carrickfergus Defenders, North Ballymena Protestant Boys, Constable Anderon Memorial and Ballykeel Loyal Sons of Ulster.

PUP representative and vice chairman of the band, Scott McDowell said: “We’d like to thank all those who came and made the night a success. I hope we can count on their continued support as we go into the new marching season.”
