BALLYNURE Girls’ Brigade is planning to hold a series of events over the next 12 months to mark its 50th anniversary.

Leaders of the 162nd GB company, formed in October 1962 in Ballynure Presbyterian Church, are currently trying to get in touch with past members and officers to let them know about the upcoming year of celebrations.

“If you were ever an officer or a member (even for a short time) of Ballynure Girls’ Brigade and we haven’t, as yet, been able to get in touch with you, then please don’t waste a minute, we need your contact details as soon as possible,” said company Captain, Marbeth Coulter.

“Please either simply post or deliver your name, address etc to: Ballynure Girls’ Brigade, Ballynure Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Ballynure, BT39 9TU, or email the details to Gillian Hanna at gilly@hanna-biz.co.uk

“Celebrations have been planned and this is a special invitation for you to please get in touch to enable us to send you all the details and then we look forward to having your company at the various events - the first one being the 50th enrolment service on November 20.”
