A GROUP of artistic young people from New Mossley officially unveiled their new ‘graffiti wall’ in the estate last week.
Located near the shops at Ballyearl Drive, the wall has been created by the 13 to 15-year-olds in a bid to brighten up the area around the recently opened play park.
Speaking ahead of the official unveiling of the project on Tuesday (July 19), Community Support and Development Partnership representative Cathy Young explained how the project was a joint initiative involving the young people, New Mossley Community Group and the NEELB’s Youth Service.
“The young people met over a number of weeks to discuss what they thought of their estate and what they would like to change. The graffiti wall project came out of this, with 12 young people taking part thanks to funding from UNLTD.”
