This year’s annual Santa Stroll in aid of the Mayor’s charities, will take place on Friday, December 9.

The 3km sponsored walk will start beside the Mossley railway halt at 12.30pm and continue out to Corr’s Corner. Entrance is only £10 and each entrant will receive a free Santa suit to wear at the race and a complimentary hot drink and mince pie on finishing.

Funds raised will be donated to this year’s Mayor’s Charities which are the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, Gis a Hug Fioundation and Medecins Sans Frontieres.

The Mayor, Alderman Billy Webb commented: “The course has been selected to allow all ages and abilities the opportunity to take part and I hope as many people as possible join me on December 9. This is a way of keeping fit and raising much needed funds for my charities.”

The final date for receiving applications is Friday, December 2, so don’t delay.
