Councillor Noel Jordan has been selected as the UKIP candidate for East Antrim in the upcoming Westminster elections.
Born and bred in Carrickfergus, Cllr Jordan was elected to the new Mid and East Antrim Council last year.
Commenting on Mr Jordan’s selection, UKIP Leader in Northern Ireland David McNarry said: “Noel joined UKIP because he believes in what we are doing. He recognises that UKIP is the party that is standing up for the ordinary man and woman.
“UKIP is the party that is standing up for people from all sorts of backgrounds and is changing politics throughout the United Kingdom.
“Northern Ireland now has a chance to be part of that change.”
