A KIND-HEARTED Carnlough man has raised a staggering £2,336 for charity by successfully completing the challenging Lurig Run in Cushendall.

Joshua Quinn finished the run in just under 44 minutes and was 86th out of 260 runners who took part in the event, which is organised annually by the Glens Runners and Heart of the Glens Festival. The money raised will be donated to local charity PIPS Suicide Awareness.

Twenty-year-old Joshua said: “I would like to thank everybody who has kindly donated money towards PIPS Suicide Awareness. I cannot thank people enough, as this cause means a lot to me and my family.”

PIPS deliver suicide prevention training that saves lives. It also offers help for anyone in distress with thoughts of suicide or self harm, as well as support for those concerned about a loved one and people who have experienced a bereavement by suicide.
