MALLUSK company Williams Industrial Services will go head-to-head with firms from across Ireland later this month to compete for the prestigious all-island Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards.

The Hydepark Road firm is the lead member of Glantek, a unique collaboration of five Northern Ireland companies working together to develop and market clean, ‘green’ technology products and processes for waste, waste water and renewable energy. The company was selected for the all-island competition by winning the ‘Green Business’ category at the recent Ulster Heat in Belfast, which was supported by Invest Northern Ireland and IntertradeIreland.

Wishing the firm well at the awards finale, which will take place in Dublin on April 19, Ulster Bank’s Head of Business and Commercial Banking, Ian Jordan said: “There were a number of Ulster businesses that stood out for particular recognition, including Glantek. We wish them the very best of luck in the all-island stage of the scheme.”

Glantek will go up against award-winning businesses from Connacht, Munster and Leinster for the all-island ‘Green Business’ title.
