Have your say on future of local healthcare services

THE Chief Executive of the Health and Social Care Board, John Compton is urging people to have their say on the future of local health and social care services.

Newtownabbey residents are being invited to join in the debate about ‘Transforming Your Care’ - proposals for wide-ranging health and social care reforms which could affect local facilities such as Clonmore House care home in Rathcoole - by attending a public meeting on December 6.

The meeting, which will take place in the Linen Suite at Mossley Mill at 2.30pm, is one of a number taking place in towns across Northern Ireland.

“Getting involved in the process is simple,” said Mr Compton. “You can log on to the consultation website at www.tycconsultation.hscni.net and complete the online questionnaire, or attend the nearest public meeting to you and join in on the debate locally.”
For further information or to obtain a copy of the Transforming Your Care consultation document log on to www.tycconsultation.hscni.net or telephone 9055 3790.

The consultation period ends on January 15, 2013.
