Man injured in Ballyduff shooting

Detectives investigating a shooting incident in Ballyduff on Tuesday evening (February 25) have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

At around 8.30pm, a 33-year-old man was shot in the leg by two men, who were dressed in black, in an alleyway in the Forthill Grove area of the estate.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

Investigating officers have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at Newtownabbey CID on 0845 600 8000, or to call Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
