Police probe report of assault at bakery

Police have confirmed that they are investigating a report of an assault at Ashers Bakery, Ballyearl.

Officers were called to the premises on the Doagh Road at around 9.15am on Thursday, January 16.

“Police attended the scene along with an ambulance. A 49-year-old woman was treated at the scene for symptoms of shock,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

She stressed that police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
