The council’s Development Committee has agreed to push ahead with plans for the refurbishment of ‘building C’ at its Mossley Mill headquarters.

Earlier this year, members agreed that the building, which is currently lying vacant, should be “converted to a standard fit for general accommodation” at a cost of up to £800,000, excluding VAT.

At their monthly meeting on Monday evening, elected representatives approved an economic appraisal for the scheme and agreed that a tender be issued for the appointment of design consultants for the conversion of ‘building C’ to office accommodation.

Meanwhile, the council’s Leisure Committee has approved distribution of a new corporate brochure to promote and market the range of facilities available at Mossley Mill.
