Band to mark 25th anniversary with Carnmoney parade

THE Pride of the Hill Flute Band will mark its 25th anniversary next month with a parade through Carnmoney.

More than 50 bands from all over Northern Ireland, as well as several visiting bands from England and Scotland, will join the local band for the parade on September 4.

The parade will leave the Carnmoney Road/Prince Charles Way junction at 6pm and make its way over Carnmoney Road to Beverley Road. It will then travel down Manse Road, through Hazelburn Road, along Carnmoney Road North and around The Glade before finishing at Campbell Road in New Mossley.

During the event money will be collected for the Kids of The Fountain organisation.

Organisers hope that people will come out in large numbers to watch the bands, and they have advised that there could be some traffic disruption in the area during the parade.
