Christian radio station to hold gospel concert

COUNTRY gospel recording legend, George Hamilton IV, will fly in from Nashville later this year to host Divine Authority's first annual 'Old Time Gospel Favourites' show in Northern Ireland.

The concert, which will take place in Newtownabbey Borough Council's Theatre at The Mill, will feature some of the Province's top gospel recording artists.

Supported by Lurgan-based 'Live Issue', George Hamilton IV and friends will transport the audience back to the 1940's, 50's and 60's for a spirit-filled celebration of the gospel music we all know and love.

Artists taking part in the show will include Kathryn Mitchell, Simple Faith, Gillian Adams, Chapter 7 and Joy Boyd. Proceeds from the concert will be used to support the Divine Authority Radio Ministry - a not-for-profit Ballynure-based radio station, and Compassion - a leading Christian child sponsorship organisation.

The Divine Authority Old Time Gospel Concert - A Celebration of Gospel Favourites will take place on Saturday, October 16 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced 15, are available from the Theatre at The Mill box office on 9034 0202 or online at www.theatreatthemill.com
