Dennison scoops Supplier of the Year award 2012/13

BALLYCLARE business Dennison Commercials has been named ‘Supplier of the Year 2012/13’ at the annual Federation of Passenger Transport Northern Ireland (FPT NI) awards.

The award, picked up at a gala dinner in the Galgorm Manor Hotel on February 9, recognises the Hillhead Road firm’s exceptional service to the passenger transport industry.

According to Karen Magill, Chief Executive of the FPT NI Ltd: “One of the reasons Dennison Commercials was nominated for this award is the fact that their commitment is to both the freight and passenger transport vehicle industries equally - or as our people would say ‘truck and bus’ - and this is very important for our members as we do not always find the same support or knowledge for the bus and coach industry here in Northern Ireland.

“Dennisons has set a high industry standard and we are delighted to award them for their efforts.”

Dennisons’ commitment to providing outstanding customer service, supporting a reliable product, as well as their extensive network of depot locations also played a part in their success at the event.

John Jenkins, Managing Director of Dennisons said: “This is the first time that suppliers have been included in the awards process at this particular event and it is an honour to have been recognised, particularly because we were nominated by the members of the FPT NI, many of whom are bus / coach operators in our local industry who have first hand experience of our service provision.”

In the submissions for the nomination, Dennisons were described as ‘responsive’, ‘professional’, ‘committed’, ‘easy to deal with’. Other comments included, ‘they know what they are doing’ and ‘they work outside normal hours, without hesitation’.

Some 200 members and guests attended the event, which is the only event of its kind for the passenger transport industry in Northern Ireland.

FPT NI is the trade body promoting the use of public transport and represents the provinces leading bus and coach operators.
