'I HAVE NEVER BEEN INVOLVED WITH DRUGS'

THE owner of a local car wash business has hit out at vandals who attacked his premises in Glengormley and Ballyearl last week.

Fatos Cufaj, known to his customers as Sergio, operates the Euro Hand Car Wash at the Antrim Road/Ballyclare Road junction in Glengormley. He also runs a second car wash site on the Doagh Road at Ballyearl.

Shortly after 10.30pm on Thursday (March 4) someone painted 'drug dealers out' on the walls of his premises in Glengormley. Less than an hour later vandals sprayed similar slogans over the front of the Ballyearl property.

The attacks came just a few days after signs were wrecked and windows were smashed at the Doagh Road site.

Mr Cufaj, who spoke out after a similar graffiti attack in October 2008, says that repairing the damage could leave him with a bill in excess of 2,000.

The married father-of-four, who is originally from Albania, has lived in Northern Ireland for 14 years. He strenuously denies any involvement with illegal drugs and believes that someone is trying to ruin his business.

"I don't know what these people want from me. They are trying to put me out of business," he said.
