Latest funding scheme aims to help rural businesses GROW

GROW South Antrim has announced its third call for funding applications under the themes of Basic Services for the Economy and Rural Population and Conservation and Upgrading of the Rural Heritage.

The call for applications, which officially opened on Monday (September 6), will close at 4pm on October 4.

GROW has already approved grant aid of almost 2.2 million to 52 projects across rural areas of Newtownabbey, Antrim and Carrickfergus, which will lead to a total investment of almost 5 million in the area.

A public information session about the latest funding offer is scheduled to take place tonight (Thursday, September 9) at Mossley Mill between 6pm and 7pm.

Chair of the GROW Local Action Group, Newtownabbey councillor Vera McWilliam, is encouraging anyone with a project idea to come along or to contact the GROW office.
