Mayor puts his foot in it…dog foul that is!

THE unpleasant issue of dog fouling was causing a stink at Newtownabbey Council's Environment Committee when it met on Monday night.

The borough's Mayor, John Scott, was one of many members to complain about dog mess in the local area, admitting that he, quite literally, put his foot in it in the first citizen's parking space outside the multi-million pound civic headquarters at Mossley Mill. Other councillors were positively fuming about what they claimed is a messy situation in the borough's parks.
