Shoreline Festival shapes up

THIS year's Shoreline Festival will take place at Jordanstown's Loughshore Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 15 and 16.

The musical acts set to take to the stage on the Saturday night in the car park will be The Big Kahuna at 7.30pm, and the Elton John Tribute, at 9.30pm, both brought to you by The Entertainment Company.

There will be amusements all day in the park on Saturday. There will also be a Play Day and a Green Fun Day at which participants will learn about ways to be green, and also be informed about environmental art and recycled music.

Hullabaloo Interactive Theatre and Story Telling will take place in the marquee during the day, while in the car park there will be a traditional music concert and a Citybeat Search for a Star show.

On Sunday, once again there will be amusements all day, and a Play Day.

Jump, Jiggle and Jive Dance workshops will take place in the marquee, followed by a Dance-Off.

A gourmet food market is to be sited in the car park, followed by a classic car display, and then a concert by 3rd Carrickfergus Silver Band.

The popular annual festival will be rounded off with Live Classics in the Park at 7.30pm, and a fireworks extravaganza at 9.30pm.
