Top US gospel music artist joins line-up for local show

DONNY Richmond, Country Gospel Music's Artist and Entertainer of the Decade, will join Nashville recording legend, George Hamilton IV, for Divine Authority's first annual 'Old Time' Gospel Favourites Show in Northern Ireland.

The concert, due to take place in Newtownabbey Borough Council's new state-of-the-art Theatre at The Mill in October, will also feature some of Northern Ireland's top Gospel recording artists.

Supported by 'Live Issue' and 'Chapter 7', George Hamilton IV and friends will transport the audience back to the 1940's, 50's and 60's for a spirit-filled celebration of the Gospel music we all know and love.

Other artists lined up to appear at the event include Kathryn Mitchell, Simple Faith, Gillian Adams, and Joy Boyd. Proceeds from the concert will be used to support Compassion - a leading Christian child sponsorship organisation and Divine Authority Radio - a not-for-profit local radio station.

Divine Authority's Old Time Gospel Concert - A Celebration of Gospel Favourites - will take place on Saturday, October 16 at 7.30pm. Tickets priced 15 each are available from the Theatre at The Mill box office on 9034 0202 or online at www.theatreatthemill.com
