Virtually every business has been affected by the current economic situation and even in good times, running a small business has its challenges.
Premises and getting the right location is a main priority for any company and getting it right can make all the difference while getting it wrong can be a costly and sometimes, drastic mistake.
Mallusk Enterprise Park is a social enterprise set up to help small businesses navigate the recession and to date, has assisted more than 80 companies to keep their head above water and even grow their business. The business team has achieved this through their start up courses and one-to-one assistance with business planning.
As a follow on from launching their new Virtual Office Assistance, the business park is throwing open its doors next week from August 20 to 24 and is inviting businesses to call in and see what sort of business support they can get in this current difficult climate.
This week will also see the launch of a new business support club - Team Spirit - which is unique to the business park and will also assist local companies with access to professional advice from solicitors and accountants.
Park Chief Executive Melanie Humphrey said: “ It is important that our local businesses know that there is support locally for them. We have access to a wide range of experts and business advisers who can help.
“Running your own business doesn’t mean you have to solve all the problems yourself, solutions can always be found and two heads are better than one! By being a social enterprise we are here as a service to our local business community and any one running a business can call us on our Business Helpline: 0800 980 7990 at any time but more importantly, call in and see us next week, all of our business team will be on hand to chat to you and also to show you our business premises that are adapted to suit the needs of the growing business and also to give an overview of the wide range of business support that is available.”
