A MAN was hospitalised following a serious assault in Glengormley in the early hours of Sunday morning (September 2).
The man, aged in his 40s, was set upon by a gang of at least five males at around 2.20am in the Church Road and Farrier Court area.
When police attended the scene the man did not make a complaint, however, his condition later deteriorated and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police have said his the man’s condition is not life threatening.
On Sunday a police cordon was set up around the area of the incident while crime scene investigators examined the site for evidence. It was removed at around 11am on Monday morning.
On Tuesday an 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the assault. He was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
