A 20-YEAR-OLD man has appeared in court charged with a number of offences in connection with an armed robbery at a Glengormley petrol station.
The man was charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, taking a motor vehicle without authority and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
The charges related to an armed robbery of an Antrim Road filling station in the early hours of Sunday morning, September 9.
Just before 4am it was reported that a man carrying a suspected firearm entered the premises and threatened a member of staff before making off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
No one was injured during this incident, however staff were left badly shaken.
