THE Band of the Royal Marines will be playing Carnmoney Presbyterian Church for the first time on Thursday, May 9.

The concert is a joint venture between the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) and Seafarers UK charities.

The organisers hope to bring a touch of life on the ocean wave to the Borough of Newtownabbey and raise money for charity at the same time.

ABF director David Forsey said: “I am looking forward to the concert tremendously.

“There is always a good crowd at Carnmoney and the pipes and drums of the Royal Irish Regiment will also make an appearance, so there’s something for everyone.”

Tickets are £12 or £10 for the over 65s and under 10s.

Tickets are available from Carnmoney Presbyterian Church and from the Soldiers’ Charity on 9267 8112 or ni@soldierscharity.org. Doors open at 7.15pm.
