Masked men cause damage to Rushpark property

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of criminal damage in the Beechwood Drive area of Rushpark on the night of Sunday, December 13.

At around 9.45pm, three masked men caused extensive damage to the windows and door of a house in the area. All three were wearing dark coloured clothing and were armed with a hammer and a baseball bat.

The men made off in the direction of Woodland Drive following the attack. It is believed they may have then left the area in a silver coloured saloon type car. A man and a woman, along with three children who were in the house at the time were not injured.

Constable A Cooke is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who observed a silver coloured saloon type car in the area of Woodland Drive around the time of, or immediately after the incident to contact officers in Newtownabbey Police Station on the non-emergency number 101. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
