Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in the Orpinsmill Road area of Ballyclare on Tuesday, October 21 have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

At around 10pm a number of masked males forced their way into a house in the area.

One of the men was carrying a suspected firearm and the others are believed to have been carrying batons. The men smashed a number of windows in the property and caused damage to a car parked outside before making off in a blue coloured car.

Two men and two women, all aged in their 20s, who were in the property at the time of the incident were not injured but were left shaken by their ordeal.

A blue Vauxhall Astra car was discovered on fire a short time later on the Collin Road, Ballyclare.
