Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Fraser Agnew, will be fundraising for three Northern Ireland charities throughout his year in office.

The borough’s longest-serving councillor has chosen to support Life After Loss, The Somme Nursing Home and AA Veterans Support NI.

“Each charity is close to my heart and the funds raised throughout the year will be put to invaluable use,” he said.

“We will be organising a variety of fundraising activities and events and I know the people of Newtownabbey will be as generous as ever in their support.”

Life After Loss is based in Northern Ireland and helps anyone affected by the loss of a baby.

They provide support and information to those who have been through the death of a baby at any stage of pregnancy, or early in life, for any reason.

The Somme Nursing Home is located in Belfast and provides treatment and quality care for service and ex-service personnel.

AA Veterans Support NI provides support for veterans residing in Northern
Ireland.
