THE fishery at Mossley Dam has opened for its third season, with Mayor Victor Robinson casting the first line of 2013.

The exclusive brown trout fishery is open Monday to Sunday, 9am to 10pm, throughout the fishing season, which runs from March 1 to October 31.

Tickets for a day’s fishing can be purchased online or at the reception desk at Mossley Mill.

Dean Holmes, Newtownabbey Council’s Play and Sports Development Officer, commented: “The fishery is a fantastic partnership between the council and the local Threemilewater Angling Club who provide bailiffs and expert advice on fishing at Mossley Mill.

“With different day tickets to choose from, the facility provides great value for quality fishing.”
