Education Minister, John O’Dowd, met pupils and staff during a recent visit to Edmund Rice College in Glengormley.

During the visit, the Minister listened to a traditional music session and sat in on a technology class before taking part in a question and answer session with Year 11 pupils. Praising the active role played by the college in the North Belfast Area Learning Community, Mr O’Dowd said: “During my visit I enjoyed partaking in a question and answer session with a number of pupils who were interested in my role as Education Minister and my views on the future direction of education.

“I would like to thank the pupils, staff and governors for the opportunity to visit the school and learn more about the work they are doing.”
