MOODONNA the Material Girl arrived in Abbeycentre this week for her summer holidays.

The famous moosician has been on tour with the CowParade Northern Ireland and has decided to stop off at pastures new for a few weeks of udderly deserved rest.

A colourful character, ‘Moodonna the Material Girl’ was the centre of attention at the Uptown Hoedown held in Lilian Bland Community Park, Glengormley in June.

Newtownabbey Council and CAN (Carrickfergus, Antrim and Newtownabbey) Peace III Partnership have a number of cows on display as part of CowParade NI, and management at the Abbeycentre kindly offered to put a roof over Moodonna’s head.

Mark Stewart, Abbeycentre Manager commented: “We are delighted to welcome Moodonna to graze and are sure that she will milk all the attention at the centre this summer.”

Lisa O’Kane, Tourism & Events Manager at Newtownabbey Borough Council added: “We are grateful to Abbeycentre for welcoming Moodonna to graze and would encourage all those who decorated her (at the Uptown Hoedown) earlier in the summer to come and view her.”

The steaks are high, so get down to Abbeycentre to see Moodonna on display or she will be one moody cow!
