Dolores Woodside from Alzheimer’s Society, Morina Clarke from Epilepsy Action NI and Lynne Chalmers from Reach Charity Ltd joined outgoing Mayor Victor Robinson at Mossley Mill this week to accept cheques totalling more than £13,000.

The money, which was split between the three charities, was raised at various events over the past 12 months, including civic receptions, a sponsored cycle, the Mayor’s Search for a Star competition and Market at The Mill.

“Each charity is very close to my heart and I know the funds will be put to good use. I would like to thank all the volunteers from the charities who assisted with the fundraising events and to everyone else who turned out to support the events and help raise funds for these worthwhile causes,” alderman Robinson commented.
