A NEW drop-in centre for teenagers is set to open in Rathcoole next week.
The initiative, which is being run by The M8trix Project, is set to operate out of the Dunanney Centre. As of Friday, March 16, the facility at Rathmullan Drive will be open for teenagers aged between 14 and 17, on Friday nights between 7pm and 10pm.
“The purpose is to offer young people somewhere safe and fun and out of the cold, and to provide advice, assistance and intervention action, trips, projects and refreshments,” said Robert Taggart, M8trix Youth Project Worker.
“Also on offer will be complementary therapies such as massage, facials and hot stones.”
All welcome, admission is free, and further information on the new service can be obtained by calling Robert on Tel: 028 9335 1562.
